Well guys, I promised you some pictures. Here the first picturepost. It shows the transmitter and the 24 volts power supply. You tune the frequency by raping the varicap with a screwdriver Wink
The yellow wire now leads to a 5 watts amplifier, not visible on this photo. Will post it next time, including a picture of the transmission antenna.

Aber nichtsdestotrotz, sehr coole Sache, was Du da gebastelst hast! Das hätte ich nicht unbedingt aus Niederbayern erwartet (habe ein paar Leute aus der Gegend kennen gelernt, die machten eher einen anderen Eindruck). Wink

Ah well, yeah, you would need it, but as I do not operate with that much power, nobody is bugged by these transmissions. And as long as I keep the signal clear, nobody will complain. If you do your own pirate station, I guess you will never reach the level on which the listeners cannot divide between commercial broadcasts and pirate ones. So Radio Wazee leaves a quite commercial impression (allthough it is not commercially orientated), which would lead almost nobody to file up a complaint. As long as it is possible, I will keep that service up. If there are really complaints someday, I will have to put it down again, and nothing more will happen to me, as it is the first case. If you continue with that, you would have to pay high fees. Well, it is running since may now, and nobody felt disturbed by one more signal on the broadcast band Wink Where did you met these Lower Bavarians? And how can you say such things about our society here? Please be careful with prejudices Wink (I wrote this in english, because I think, that all readers of this forum should be "allowed" to read our conversation, as it is a public place for everyones thoughts.)

cheers,

JayL

Hey,

yeah, well, I would call it semi-official, yes. I use a frequency which is not in use, my transmitter gives out a clear signal, the sidewaves are reduced to the possible minimum. It has a nice RDS tag and everybody is happy with it around here Smiley If you need some equipment, let me know, I can build you another transmitter and antenna. Cable broadcast is fun, I did that, it is very simple. You just have to switch the RX-TX lines from your inhouse repeater and put a signal on the RX side... Cheesy Currently I do shortwave experiments so wazee might be hearable around the world 24h just using a shortwave radio Smiley Ah, have to remember to tak esome pics...

greets to all and especially to Berlin (really nice city!)

Anyways, if I see some interesting spam topics, I could easily rise my post counter ~ 20 posts a day Wink

Hey guys and girls,

I have increased power of that transmitter, pcitures of the transmitter site (TX and Antenna) will follow. So now I need a Jingle, which is played every hour which identificates my station on the air. This is done by a cron job on the server, but the only thing missin is the jingle itself. Is anyone there who can do a Jingle which says "This is the local broadcast of radio wazee, located in lower bavaria"? Perhaps that cool voice of the wazee jingles itself Smiley Thanks in advance...
