It's true though.. they're all against capitalism and mass consumption and make insane amounts of money through every commercial channel imaginable at the same time. Same thing with Radiohead. Love it . But ofcourse the point is they've been saying those things for ages even when they were not famous. And now they're able to make themselves heard BECAUSE they're famous (and rich, and sell records, and in fact became a product of their own). Still a funny contradiction :') Read some kind of chat-interview with Thom Yorke once, where this guy told Thom to shut up, because no one was interested in hearing some spoiled millionair telling us about the evilness of capitalism. His reaction was something like "please stop listening to our music.... please stop buying our records..." , which seems to be the only right answer to such a thing  |
