hey everyone just wanted to drop in and say that Goldenvanity which has had some generous airplay on wazee will soon be releasing a new album called 'the fog" as soon as the first single is available it will be uploaded to the database here. it will be a great album in my opnion and i look forward to sharing some of the new tunes here! the band is due back in the studio in the beginning of january and looking for an early 06 release. we will have some autographed promotional posters and free cd giveaways coming and i will be the first to let everyone know. thanks for the support and always support independent music! thanks, goldenvanity management  www.goldenvanity.com |

At 42 I must admit with my failing eyes,
the first thing that poped out of the pic was a bust.
Yeah the subliminal usually hits me first.
Next I could distinguish the figure of the witch.
the fog.
etc....
The new tune is really the intrest here for me I liked your last offering and am eagerly waiting for the next batch.

well as i mentioned before the band will finishing up production soon. we are also finishing up the jacket layout and i wanted to ask for some feedback. do you guys like it when bands put collauges of pictures in the album jacket? or do you like just maybe a couple group shots? do you like jewel cases better or do you like those fold out cardboard material cd jackets better? i would appreciate any feedback on this. i am putting the final touches on the designs and wanted to see what other music fans like. thanks!  |

Personally I like the picture you guys have now.
I preffer Jewel Cases cause the paper ones always rub up against other cd's and rub right through the cardboard and then they are ruined.

Well I like my cds to have jewel cases, with interesting album art on the front, not pictures. I also like when there is a little booklet inside with lyrics and pictures of the band members. One group shot on the back with the track listing on top of it would be cool though.
edit: I like the one you posted above for the front of the jewel case.

thanks! well i do think it'll be a jewel case much like the first cd was. the cover art will be the picture on the first post most likely. the insides will have lyrics, a few band pics mixed in and maybe a group shot on the back with the track listings. thanks for the input cause that helps me |

will it be like the Seminole County CD giveaway? god I can't believe that I'm still bitter about that... some wounds get ripped open again when you are reminded of them in such a direct way ^_^ *cool pose, very cool pose* ;-) as for the cd: ARTWORK! Stuff it with lotsa artsy shit. Bandphoto's are nice, but a little cliché. But by the look of the pictures posted, I'd say ur doing a good job in having weird bandphoto's already, so it'll be awesome I'm sure =) But yeah, I'd put lots of weird thingies in it. Page per song maybe? With a unique lay-out matching the characteristics of each individual song. Oooo |
