hawthorne heights sounds like every other emo - cookie cutter band out there. the guy use the same tone for all his vocals but i guess a lot of people like them... boy the rock scene has gone down hill in a major way.  |

to each his own i guess... in my opinion hawthorne heights has found their sound that works for them.
besides, emo isn't bad, emo just has a bad reputation for whining, so when an artist actually does something successful people rag on them for being emo and fitting into a "genre" that some people associate with whining.
much like alot of people hate nickelback because they "sound the same as every other song they do".
personally I really like hawthorne heights, I think the songs that they put out are very unique. until i had heard of hawthorne heights i hadn't heard anything else like them, now that they are getting popular more bands are emerging with similar styles becasue the record companies want to cash in on the "trend".

I think their label is great, or at least the bands on it. Victory also has Bayside and Silverstein, and other good bands.
edit: Well I feel retarded, I just realized you meant emo was a vague label. It is though.
