Grexican wrote C# is a "dumbed" down version of C++.  It's more like VB with closer-to C++ syntax.

It's a good language.  I prefer it over VB (though I have my own reasons for not liking VB/VBScript syntax -- too many years with ASP 2.0 and 3.0).

I didn't mean to make it sound like it's an easy (dumb) language.

VB/C#/C++ all have their places.  I'd suggest at least looking into C# as your .NET language o' choice before you jump right into VB

My employer will be converting to VB.net from VB 6.0 so that's where they'd like me to start anyway.  Maybe I'll take both.
