Added a stats calculator for the WMD on the bottom of the WMD homepage. It's got total num of artists, songs, downloads, MB hosted, GB transmitted, more. All stats are since the WMD went online (last October?) and are updated every half hour.

Also take notice of the slightly lower ratings appearing on the main homepage. They are as of a few minutes ago calculated using the weighted formula Grex recommended. More votes results in a slightly higher rating, and songs with less than 4 votes are not considered.

Hey mosey, think you could add "order by" and paging to the WMD listing? Perhaps it'd be nice to order by total song downloads. I dunno, maybe ordering isn't all that important, but I think it's due for a paging scheme. If you've never done one, I have apretty good general algorithm for one that I did in ASP.

The comments pages will page after 15, I wrote that a while ago but I could probably reuse it. I think organization by genre would be much more useful though so I'm going to put my time in on categorizing. Now that we're on a dedicated host I'd also like to explore the possibility of streaming again.

Oh and BTW, don't forget to add your rating algorithm thingie to the actual wmd page, because the top rated song right now has 8.0 with only one vote.

Aaaaaaaaaand, not to be a crackhead about it, but the individual song listing is also in need of having that same stat updated You see the rating on the main page, then click the song and it's slightly higher. teehee! Sorry to keep making more work for ya bud -jeli |

on the home page you list "most downloads". Should that read most downloads this week or could you possibly show the top ten most downloads on the home page instead of for the week.

Pfft. Minor detail.
I could easily put total dl's on the homepage, but the point of the summary on the homepage is to show what is new and what people like most. You may notice that total dl's is mostly just related to the amount of time the artist has been on the site.
At some point i'll put links up explaining that the dl's are for the last 7 days, how the ratings are calculated, etc. Not enough room to put all that text right on the homepage.
