Bio
Formed in Denver, Colorado in the summer of 2003, Sound of Corduroy was a welcome addition to Denver.s thriving local music scene. After playing their first show at a private party inside the Sugar Lounge, SOC have went on to play at many of Colorado.s premier live music venues, including the Bluebird Theatre, Larimer Lounge, and the Lion.s Lair among others. SOC.s Sound works well in the larger venues as well as the more intimate spaces because of their impressive dynamic range, from intense passages of rage to exquisite melodies of soft introspection. They can rock out with the best of them, but they also present a tender sensibility that is often missing from 21st century rock and roll. Their Lead Guitar, Steve Lopez, spent years honing his skills on Denver.s Blues circuit before joining SOC. Their Rhythm section, David Arnold on bass and Matt Loftin on drums, plays together with the precision seven years of playing together brings. Mark Stenger contributes the dual threat of rhythm guitar and vocals, spending years singing in the church as a child before hearing the call of Rock and Roll. Together they are: Sound of Corduroy.
