“Straight-up rock doesn’t come much catchier than theirs.” - TimeOut New York
New York's Scratcher are going straight for the masses with their guitar based rock and brit-pop flourishes. Their Foo-meets-Who-meets-Goo Goo repertoire is modern rock radio friendly and arena ready. Formed in 2000 by Long Island natives, guitarist Dylan Mitchell and bassist Brian Kerr, Scratcher has steadily made it’s way up the New York City music food chain to become a must see local act. Shortly after recruiting drummer Tim Dillingham the three poured over dozens of potential singers before finding Southern California’s Anthony Nelson. The cross coast chemistry proved fruitful. Soon after recording their first demo they were giging regularly at The Continental, The Cutting Room, CBGB’s, The Elbow Room and playing consecutive CMJ marathons. Following a second demo Scratcher recorded the E.P. “American Cheese” which has since found it’s way onto 105.1 WWDG "The Dog" in Syracuse NY. With that momentum the band soon found themselves playing to a full house on a continual basis at the prestigious Mercury Lounge.
Definitely a band to watch as they prepare for their first full length CD. For information or booking contact Tim Dillingham at 646-865-2642 or firstname.lastname@example.org
