Bio
History Freedom & Magic & Rock'n Roll... … more than just music, A Way of Life!

In times of synthetic and computer-dominated sounds there grew in Mitsch (an in-the-scene recognized Vocal and Guitar-coach) the dream to rediscover the soul of Rock music, but still go his own way as a composer.

REDROCK started in a tiny studio in the summer of 2002 when Mitsch produced the CD "Pieces". After a successful start and an big resonance for the CD, the live-formation was founded in the spring of 2003.

Marco Rämisch on drums and percussions, and multi-instumentalist Mr. Haawk form the Rhythmic fundament. With xxx (the concerned person doesn't want to be named, cause he is afraid to be connected with this band!), on Hammond B3 and piano and, of course, Mitsch on Guitar and Vocals, the band started playing its first gigs. Sara Badawi and Michael Mitschele were added as background singers for the polyphonic vocal passages.

At numerous Live-Shows REDROCK is winning more and more attention. The line-up was enlarged in the winter of 2003 with Rain as an additional guitar-player.

In Spring 2004 producer Mitsch started recording the first long-player "Power for the Mighty", with guest-musicians like: Wolfman (Micky Moody, Bernie Marsden to name a few), Alexander Burghard (Fascinating Rhythm), and Barbara Dennerlein (Dennis Chambers, David Sanchez and many, many more). The CD was mixed and mastered in the HD800Achtspur studio of Lopazz. Additionally, in the spring of 2005, the band made a video clip of the track "Moon in my Hand", which was produced by Anja Viertel-Sondermann as an 3 ½ minute Radio Edit and in an full length version. At this time, Jason Tosic replaced Rain on guitars.

O-Ton: "We of REDROCK don't think of ourselves as retro- or even revival, but more as reformers of rock music".

Let it Rock!
